The Cathedral Chamber Choir perfom Der Tod Jesu

Since its first performance in Berlin in 1755, Carl Heinrich Graun's Passion oratoria Der Tod Jesu immediately established itself as one of the two or three most significant and most significiant and most performed music works in Europe, with annual performances somewhat like those of the Messiah in English speaking countries.

This is the first performance of this wonderful devotional work in Australia and is performed by the Cathedral Chamber Choir, directed by Michael O'Loghlin and accompanied by the Badinerie Players.
