    Thomas Gaynor (NZ) - dances inspired organ music

    Thomas Gaynor - Senior Organ Scholar, Wellington Cathedral.


    Thomas Gaynor is the rising star of the NZ organ scene. He has already won many awards and scholarships including the Internediate Section of the Sydney Organ Competition. Last month he was offered postgraudate places at Eastman School of Music, Rochester NY; the Juilliard School NY City; and Yale University. A former student of Michael Fulcher, he has also studied with Douglas Mews at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington achieving 1st Class honours.

    His recital promises to be a tour de force featuring Dance inspired organ music including Bach's Passcaglia in C minor.

    Sarah Kim, recent graduate of the Paris Conservatoire based in Europe
    Michael Fulcher, current Cathedral Organist
    Dr. Phillip Gearing, lecturer at USQ, & former student of the late David Sanger (UK)

    Overseas performers include:
    Dong-Ill Shin, award winning Korean Organist
    Thomas Gaynor, rising star Kiwi organist, about to commence post-grad studies at Eastman School of Music, USA
    Paul Rosoman, mover-and-shaker in NZ and international organ world
