Update of news for children

It is wonderful to have so many children and their families who are part of the community at St John’s Cathedral. I think all of us have noticed how the community has grown and changed as these children have become very much part of who we are. Now it is time to take the next step.

As of the 1st February 2009, instead of going out to the Sunday School room at the beginning of the service the children will now gather in the Holy Spirit Chapel ready for the first reading and have their story time there. They will stay in the Holy Spirit Chapel until the Great Thanksgiving. This will also work well for our baptisms so that they can be part of the celebrations and they will not be too far away if they need their parent/carer.

The children will bring with them their beautiful spontaneity which can only add to our community, as they take their place in the Church.
