15th Annual Capt'n Snapper Loaves and Fishes Luncheon, Wednesday 28th May 2008.
Loaves and Fishes is our annual fundraising luncheon held inside the Cathedral building, sponsored by a number of local businesses (our major sponsor being Captain Snapper). It commenced at 12.30pm with a simple meal of fish and chips with beverages. Throughout the lunch we provided opportunities for guests to donate to the project. Our final phase of construction is to build the bell tower, and that was our focus for this year's Loaves and Fishes event.
This years gueat speaker was The Honourable Campbell Newman, Mayor of Brisbane.
Through the generosity of our guests $663,000 was raised on the day with a further $200,000 donated following the event.
