April 23rd is a day for threefold commemoration - it's S. George's Day (patron saint of England) and also both the birthday and the "deathday" of the Bard of Stratford upon Avon - William Shakespeare.
As part of the Brisbane Organ Recital International Series for 2006, this Sunday a celebration of the life and work of William Shakespeare will take place at S. John's Cathedral. World renown organist Rupert Jeffcoat and Brisbane Shakespearean actor Blair Martin will take the audience on a journey with words by Shakespeare, about Shakespeare and inspired by Shakespeare together with music written for and about the Bard and his plays, including some surprizes!
