Recitals will last 50 minutes and be followed by refreshments.

Formerly based in Brisbane before working in Melbourne, England, France and New Zealand, (currently as Director of Music at Wellington Cathedral,) Michael is well known to Brisbane audiences as conductor and organist.

His return to the St John's console will include works by Eben, Franck, Langlais, Buxtehude and Bach.

DIFFERENT WORLDS
Organ recitals generally present music from “different worlds” - compositions from different countries and different historical periods.

This one goes slightly further by adding music originally written for different media, and some in styles which were originally quite secular. The recital includes music by Bach, Durufle, Debussy, Gershwin, Grainger.
