July 15 – Faithful Partnership with God
The Shingleback Lizard offers a profound lesson in trust and commitment. These remarkable creatures form long-term pair bonds, often staying together for decades. Their unwavering dedication to partnership reflects a deep trust in the unseen benefits of loyalty and mutual support. This natural phenomenon echoes the spiritual wisdom of setting our sights on the kindom of God, trusting that all else will fall into place.
Like the Shingleback Lizard, we are called to focus on what truly matters – our relationship with the Divine and the interconnected web of creation. By aligning ourselves with the rhythms of God’s love, we open ourselves to life’s richness. This approach to life, rooted in trust and letting go, allows us to navigate the complexities of existence with grace. It invites us to release our grip on worldly concerns and instead embrace the profound simplicity of living in harmony with Divine love.
1. How can I cultivate a deeper trust in the Divine plan for my life, even when circumstances seem uncertain?
2. In what ways might I be holding onto control, and how can I practice letting go to align more fully with God’s kindom?
Prayer:
Divine Creator, grant me the wisdom to trust in Your loving plan for my life. Help me to let go of my need for control and to embrace the beautiful complexity of Your kindom.
(Note: The term “kindom of God” is used in the Inclusive Bible Translation to intentionally, emphasise a community of kinship and equality rather than a hierarchical kingdom, reflecting a more inclusive and relational understanding of God’s realm.)
