November 19 – Karri Trees

Though invisible to the eye, God’s eternal power and divinity have been seen since the creation of the universe, understood and clearly visible in all of nature. Humankind is, therefore, without excuse. (Romans 1:20)

In the forests of Western Australia, the majestic Karri trees engage in a breathtaking display of synchronicity. Every four to seven years, these towering giants burst into bloom simultaneously, painting the landscape in stunning colour. This phenomenon, known as mass flowering, is a testament to the intricate choreography woven into the fabric of creation by the Divine.

Just as the Karri trees dance in unison to a rhythm beyond human perception, our lives are part of a grand, cosmic dance. We may not always understand the steps or the timing, but we can trust that every movement, every season, the Divine is present. The synchronised flowering of the Karri trees invites us to surrender to the sacred rhythm of life, knowing that our Creator is present with us.

Reflection:

  1. How can I attune myself to the divine choreography unfolding in my life and in the world around me?

  2. In what ways can I trust in the timing and purpose of the sacred dance, even when I don’t understand the steps?

Prayer:

Divine Choreographer, help me to surrender to the sacred rhythm of life, trusting in your loving presence through every season of growth and transformation.
