March 11

With you, YHWH, are the greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. Everything in the heavens and on the earth belongs to you. (1 Chronicles 29:11)

The Blue Mountains of New South Wales stand as a testament to the awe-inspiring beauty and complexity of God’s creation. The vast expanse of rugged sandstone cliffs, deep forested valleys, and the iconic Three Sisters rock formation showcase the immensity and grandeur of the divine handiwork. These natural wonders, sculpted by the forces of nature over millions of years, symbolise the enduring strength and resilience that can be found in God’s presence.

In the ever-changing moods of the Blue Mountains, from the misty mornings to the fiery sunsets, we are reminded of the dynamic and transformative power of God’s love in our lives. In the face of this magnificence, we are humbled by the realisation that everything in the heavens and on the earth belongs to God, and we are called to be stewards of this sacred creation.

Reflection:

  1. How can I open my heart to recognise the greatness and power of God in the natural world around me?

  2. In what ways can I be a better steward of God’s creation, honouring the interconnectedness of all things?

Prayer:

Creator God, as I marvel at the majesty of the Blue Mountains, let me be filled with a deep sense of reverence and gratitude for the beauty and complexity of your creation. Guide me to be a faithful steward of this sacred gift, now and always.
