April 3

But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For Christ is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of hostility that kept us apart. (Ephesians 2:13-14)
In the vibrant depths of the Great Barrier Reef, countless species of coral and fish thrive together in a delicate balance. Despite their vast differences in form, colour, and function, each creature plays a vital role in maintaining the health and beauty of this underwater wonderland. The reef stands as a testament to the power of unity in diversity, where seemingly disparate elements come together to create a harmonious whole.
Just as the coral and fish in the Great Barrier Reef are interconnected and interdependent, we too are called to recognise our inherent connection to one another through the love of the Divine. By embracing our diversity and working together in harmony, we can create a beautiful tapestry that reflects the peace and unity found in Christ.
Reflection:
-
How can I actively seek to break down barriers and promote unity in my own life and community?
-
In what ways can I celebrate and appreciate the diversity of God’s creation, both in nature and in the people around me?
Prayer:
Divine Creator, help me to see the beauty in diversity and to work towards unity and peace in all aspects of my life. May I be an instrument of Your love, breaking down barriers and fostering harmony in the world around me.
