LAY CLERKS
Vacancies have arisen for Lay Clerks of all parts (alto or countertenor, tenor, and bass) in the Cathedral Choir.
The Cathedral Choir consists of sixteen to twenty boy choristers (educated on scholarship at the Anglican Church Grammar School), Lay Clerks, and Choral Scholars.
The choir (or part thereof) sings the 9.30am Choral Eucharist each Sunday, as well as 6pm Evensong fortnightly, in alternation with the Cathedral Singers. There are also additional services during Holy Week, in the Christmas period, and on certain feast days and solemnities.
Fees paid, and opportunities for further paid solo work at weddings and funerals are also available.

CHORAL SCHOLARS
We are seeking expressions of interest for Choral Scholars of all parts (countertenor or alto, tenor, and bass) in the Choir of St John’s Cathedral. This Choral Scholarship is an excellent opportunity for a young singer to gain experience in liturgical choral singing in a supportive and friendly environment.
