Wasting Time With God: Staying awake to the Aboriginal Cry for Justice
Wednesday December 2, 9.30am

This month our guest is Brooke Prentis. In 2020 we face a global pandemic, a global climate crisis, and the global black lives matter movement. This year, Australians seem to have woken up to the injustice facing Aboriginal peoples. But has Australia stayed awake or gone back to sleep? Come along to hear a younger Aboriginal Christian Leader reflect on her prayer for Australia to stay awake so that together we can build an Australia built on truth, justice, love, and hope. This is a journey of understanding national truth telling, acknowledging the ramifications of the lack of Treaty, and how to listen deeply to Aboriginal voices. Together let’s achieve Reconciliation in our lifetime.

This event will be held in person and on Zoom and will begin with a short prayer service at 9.30am. Following that, people are encouraged to get a cup of coffee or tea and we will then join Brooke for her presentation and discussion at 10.00am. To attend in person please register at www.trybooking.com/BMHVZ. The Zoom link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82334470652…
