The choir (or part thereof) sings the 9.30am Choral Eucharist each Sunday, as well as 6pm Evensong fortnightly, in alternation with the Cathedral Singers. There are also additional services during Holy Week, in the Christmas period, and on certain feast days and solemnities.

Remuneration is offered at $6000 per annum, and opportunities for further paid solo work at weddings and funerals are also available.

If you would like to discuss the position informally before applying, please contact the Director of Music.

CHORAL SCHOLARS

We are also seeking expressions of interest for Choral Scholars of all parts (countertenor or alto, tenor, and bass) in the Choir of St John’s Cathedral. This Choral Scholarship is an excellent opportunity for a young singer to gain experience in liturgical choral singing in a supportive and friendly environment.
